Open call for the 5th edition of the magnificent Muestra Marrana that is growing every year more and more like a hungry monster.
This time there will be a focus on older people and their sexuality. Inspired by that, here is the poster I did:

I met Nazario‘s work twice. The first time was probably at Diana‘s house, it was perhaps Anarcoma or a comic at El Víbora. By that time I was discovering so many things, I had my mind full of BDSM, queer, punk, freaky, bloody imagery!
Then I met him again, in person, so elegantly seated on the sofa with the exquisite Alejandro. They are both Lola‘s godfathers.
And so I connect the dots and realized I was “hanging out” with this great artist who’s work I had seen a few years ago!
At Lola’s mother’s living room are some of his beautiful paintings. Now, next to them, are also two of my photographs (that she bought) so it’s quite an honor to be together in this private gallery!
He’s one of those boundless artists that explores all kinds of mediums in order to represent different personal and political matters.
A funny thing I like to do with Lola is spot her at his paintings:
There’s a lot to know about him. He and his friends have inspired many people with their marica folklorica political and fun street performances during the 70′s.

Thanks to Lola Clavo and Nuria Camprecios this year we’ll have some of Barcelona’s queer porn sexy smart power in London, as part of the Fringe! Film Fest.
On Friday 13th there’s a female ejaculation workshop given by dear friend Diana Pornoterrorista (I’m so curious, it’s my first!), followed by In bed with Madonna or, at the same time in a different place, a lesbian/trans darkroom.
On Saturday 14th there’s a projection of Mi sexualidad es una creación artística / My sexuality is an artistic creation, directed by Lucía Egaña, followed by Q&A with Mariana Echeverri (me) and Maria Llopis. After that we’ll have the pleasure and pain to contemplate a performance by Pornoterrorista! I’ll be contemplating it form really really close.
I’m very excited about it and glad that we’re bringing it to London.
A great big woman once told me “I don’t always want to be political but I am forced to” and I felt absolutely identified with it.
By just existing as I do, I’m being political and I fight everyday in my own way with my own guns.

Today, through my good powerful friend, I saw this amazing bomb poem by Rafeef Ziadah. It’s filled with passion, sadness and incredible strength that allow a space for hope and carry on fighting.
